New Goseries USB 2.0 Digital Color Cameras
October 15, 2006
New Go digital cameras from QImaging® combine CMOS sensor technology with USB 2.0 connectivity for image archiving and color imaging.
Neuroscience 2006 (Atlanta, GA) — QImaging, a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance digital cameras for scientific, machine vision, and OEM applications, has announced the release of three new products. Named the Go-3, Go-5, and Go-21, these cameras round out QImaging’s low-cost color imaging product portfolio. The new Go series utilizes the latest CMOS sensor technology along with USB 2.0 plug-and-play connectivity to offer highly accurate, high-resolution color imaging.

The Go-3 and Go-5 cameras provide 3 million and 5 million pixels, respectively, with the Go-5 being the first to introduce 12-bit digital imaging capability in a CMOS platform. The Go-21 employs state-of-the-art technology with innovative subpixel shifting to deliver 21-megapixel resolution for image archiving and outstanding color fidelity. The USB 2.0 interface promotes QImaging’s plug-and-play philosophy of easy installation and operation via a single cable between the camera and the computer.

Every Go camera ships with software that enables real-time image preview and capture for Microsoft® Windows®-based systems. The new cameras can be used to acquire high-resolution still images for archiving and color-based applications, such as pathology, histology, still-image animation, industrial applications, and much more.
