Image files saved in the TIFF format in QCapture Pro sometimes cannot be openend in other software such as Photoshop. This is because QCapture Pro supports TIFF file formats that are not widely supported, but are preferred for 12-bit mono and 36-bit colour images.
If you encounter problems opening files saved in QCpature Pro check the file format of the file. This can be done inside QCapture Pro by looking under Edit -> Info while you have a picture selected in QCapture Pro. The class field will tell you what format your image is saved in. If it is Gray Scale 12 or RGB 36 you may have dificulty opening the file in other software.
The only way to resolve this is to convert the file using QCapture Pro. To convert images select the appropriate option from Edit->Convert To.. within QCapture Pro while your image is selected. Images that are Gray Scale 12 can be converted to either Gray Scale 8 or Gray Scale 16 to open them in other software. Images that are RGB 36 should be converted to either RGB 24 or RGB 48 to open them in other programs.
